Hamro Blood Bank is a social initiative under the non-profit organization ACT Nepal Initiatives, which is legally registered in Nepal. This project is dedicated to eliminating blood shortages by building a nationwide network of voluntary blood donors and ensuring timely access to blood for those in need. The initiative operates digitally across Nepal, leveraging technology to connect blood seekers with potential donors quickly and efficiently.

Currently, over 1,000 individuals have joined this life-saving movement, making it one of Nepal’s growing platforms for voluntary blood donation. As part of its long-term commitment, Hamro Blood Bank plans to conduct regular blood donation campaigns nationwide, ensuring a steady and accessible blood supply for hospitals, emergency cases, and patients with chronic medical conditions.

Objectives of the Project

1. Increase Blood Donation Awareness: Educate communities on the importance of regular and voluntary blood donation.
2. Develop a Nationwide Donor Network: Build an extensive database of donors categorized by location and blood type for quick access during emergencies.
3. Ensure Emergency Blood Availability: Minimize the time required to locate and mobilize donors, especially for rare blood groups.
4. Collaborate with Healthcare Institutions: Partner with hospitals, blood banks, NGOs, and government bodies to strengthen Nepal’s overall blood supply system.
5. Conduct Regular Blood Donation Campaigns: Organize frequent donation events across Nepal to encourage participation and maintain a reliable blood inventory.
6. Promote a Culture of Social Responsibility: Inspire individuals and organizations to contribute actively to saving lives through blood donation.
